All new sims are born with the same brown coloured eyes and this can't be edited at all, not during any life stage (this includes all pets) I have the same problem with NPC sims or any newly spawned sim. However, any new sims are missing the option to change their eye colours. They work fine on older sims that I've made. That way they can do something about it quicker.I have non-default CC eyes in my game.
You want CC and mods and want to make your game work properly - you will unfortunately have to keep it all up dated.Įdit - you can help all the creators know which CC items need a patch update if you are willing to test every single one for them and let them know something is either breaking the game or not working right.
It's a lot of hoop jumping just to have a mod or CC and have to constantly have to keep redownloading and reinstalling it or have a broken and often buggy game because your content does not match the patch level and changes made to the game everytime something is fixed or changed. So I just never bothered any more in Sims 3, and wouldn't even consider it in Sims 4 where I know there will be tons of patches. In sims 3 mods always needed to be updated - but CC was usually okay as long as it was not default CC or what is called modded CC (like face plates etc) but it always was so hard to remove from Sims 3 any CC it was just not worth all the work to have it in a game in the early days when there is always bound to be a lot of patches. It is why the mod folder needs to be removed to properly update the game without issues, then only replace CC and mods after the creators have either said it works or have updated, and you redownload the updated versions - other wise the game will have corruption from the mismatch. It was the number one reason why I stopped using CC and mods after Sims 2 - as Sims 2 only required CEP and Simpe updates to new patches - but Sims 3 and Sims 4 require creator updates to mods and some CC in order to work. Often CC and almost all the time mods require being patch matched in order to work. My default eye replacements work, so the only thing I seem to be missing so far is eyebrows that I like.
I will test my S-club eyebrows one at a time, those are the only ones among the rest that I value. I removed items I thought would be safe and the game is working now. Yup, I tossed in my make-up folder which includes eyebrows and it locked up the game at the start screen. I can just start my YAs again in a new game. I wasn't playing my sims seriously as the base game wasn't that much fun and I had no desire to raise families. I was going to start a fresh game anyway with the new EP, so I am not losing much. I think I can live with the game until I replace my broken CC. I am guessing my replacement eyes don't work either. I will probably just replace them slowly over time.
I am about to test eyebrows, which is known to have issues. My grass replacement works, and that makes me happy. I'm supposed to through each and every piece of cc and every mod to see which DOESN'T affect my game? Right. A patch has never affected my game so much. My game is completely unplayable right now.
